COURSE OUTLINE
MATH SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY
This course focuses on fields which are deeply intertwined in the real world and in how students learn most effectively. MST is an interdisciplinary and applied approach that is coupled with hands-on and problem-based learning. Students will learn about various environmental issues and alternative energy concepts that are necessary to live a more sustainable lifestyle.

MATERIALS: Needed in class daily:
1. Folder or Binder (with loose leaf)
2. Pencil
Safety Goggles will be provided by the school for students to use in their Technology classroom.
CLASSROOM ROUTINE:
1. Students are to be on time*, in their seats and ready to begin work at the start of class.
*All school regulations regarding lateness and absence will be strictly enforced.
2. Give your best effort in class daily
GRADING POLICY:
1. PROJECTS (50%) 2. TESTS/PRESENTATIONS (25%)
3. Participation (15%)
4. HOMEWORK (10%)- Homework will be posted on the classroom website. Assignments are due the following class period unless specified. NO late homework assignments are accepted! If you are absent, it is your responsibility to make up any missing assignments.
To keep ongoing communication, grade slips will be sent home with your child every five weeks to be signed and returned.
