COURSE OUTLINE
Introduction to Technology
The courses offered by the Technology Department prepare students to work in, contribute to, profit from and enjoy our increasingly technological society. The student will be provided with opportunities to develop basic competencies in the areas of production, manufacturing, construction, transportation, electronics and design, with an emphasis on computers.

MATERIALS: Needed in class daily:
1. Folder or Binder (with loose leaf)
2. Pencil
Safety Goggles will be provided by the school for students to use in their Technology classroom.
CLASSROOM ROUTINE:
1. Students are to be on time*, in their seats and ready to begin work at the start of class.
*All school regulations regarding lateness and absence will be strictly enforced.
2. Give your best effort in class daily
GRADING POLICY:
1. PROJECTS (45%) 2. TESTS (25%)
3. QUIZZES (15%)
4. HOMEWORK (15%)-Given most nights and will posted on the classroom website. Assignments are due the following class period unless specified. NO late homework assignments are accepted! If you are absent, it is your responsibility to make up any missing assignments.
To keep ongoing communication, grade slips will be sent home with your child every five weeks to be signed and returned.
