General Safety Rules
1. Always wear eye protection when using tools or machinery.
2. Roll up long sleeves or loose clothing, pull back long hair, and remove all jewelry before working with tools or machinery.
3. Do not RUN in the Technology room.
4. Keep hands and fingers out of the path of blades and cutting surfaces.
5. Clamp all work securely before cutting, drilling or filing.
6. Get instruction and permission from the teacher before using any tool or machine.
7. Do not DISTRACT other students while they are working with tools or machinery.
8. Do not rush your work. Work at a pace you are comfortable with.
9. Clean-up the Technology room after you work. A clean well organized work area promotes safety.
10. Report all accidents and injuries immediately, no matter how minor they seem.
11. Report all broken tools, machinery, or unsafe working conditions to the teacher immediately.
12. Never use a tool or operate a machine when you are unsure how to use it.
